Choice Privileges has just launched its newest promotion, which members can start taking advantage of for stays as of tomorrow. It’s a pretty typical offer from the program, and has the potential to be pretty lucrative.
Choice offering 8K bonus points after every two stays
Choice Privileges is offering 8,000 bonus points after every two stays between May 13 and July 7, 2026. Here are the basic terms to be aware of:
- Registration is required prior to the check-out of your first stay
- You can take advantage of this offer a maximum of four times (so you’d unlock the full bonus of 32,000 points after eight stays)
- Only bookings made directly with Choice (through the app, website, or by phone) qualify
- This promotion is valid globally, but WoodSpring Suites properties don’t qualify
- You must set your earnings preference to Choice Privileges points in order to qualify
- Bonus points will post within four weeks of an eligible stay

But wait, isn’t this Choice promo for a gift card?
If you go to the promotion page, you’ll notice that this deal is marketed as offering a $50 gift card after staying twice, with the focus being on redeeming for gas gift cards.
So why am I talking about earning points? Because the reality is that you earn 8,000 bonus points after two stays. You can redeem those however you want, whether you prefer a gift card or a free night.
Choice adjusts the marketing around its promotions every so often. There’s no requirement here to actually redeem for gift cards, but rather it’s just an option that you have.

How much are Choice points worth?
Everyone will value points differently, though personally I conservatively value Choice Privileges points at ~0.6 cents each. Choice Privileges ordinarily awards 10x points per dollar spent, and that doesn’t include elite bonuses or credit card rewards for hotel spending.
So this promotion essentially offers 4,000 bonus points per stay in the right increments and with certain caps. At a valuation of 0.6 cents per point, that’s like a $24 incremental return per stay.
Choice Privileges doesn’t have a formal award chart, but in general award pricing ranges from 6,000 to 45,000 points per night. In Asia-Pacific, some properties cost up to 75,000 points per night. On top of that, Choice Privileges has a partnership with Preferred Hotels & Resorts, which is a group of over 500 luxury independent properties around the globe.
You can redeem Choice Privileges points for stays here, and the hotels cost anywhere from 25,000 to 118,000 points per night. There are some participating hotels where you can get significant value redeeming this way.
Unfortunately we have seen quite some devaluations from Choice Privileges in recent times, both for Choice properties, and for Preferred properties.
Bottom line
Choice Privileges has launched its second promotion of 2026, valid for stays between May 13 and July 7, 2026. With this, you can earn 8,000 bonus points after every two stays, so that’s up to 4,000 bonus points per stay. For short stays, this has the potential to be quite a good return on spending, while for longer stays, it’s not much to get excited about.
